Phenomenal service. Excellent food. Very nice atmosphere. Looking forward to visiting again!
Top quality freshly made food. Beautiful ambiance.
Food constantly creative Android. Pleasant ambience, cordial and attentive service . A joyful evening
The service, ambiance and food were excellent. The menu has very elegant selections. Everything is cooked to order.
Trattoria Rusica is our very favorite restaurant and we love Davide, the chef/owner. Everything was perfect and delicious. A true gem in the Berkshires.
Beautiful restaurant! From the moment we walked in everything was amazing.
Our server was very good, but the food did not impress us. We have eaten here before and really enjoyed it, but the food was not as good this time. It was very disappointing.
Excellent food ,we especially liked the veal chop and lamb chops
Pleasant decor, music, waitress very friendly and helpful. Food excellent, desserts perfect!
Food excellent, atmosphere lovely... service fair - why can't 4 diners be brought to table at the same time...Why does one have to search a server to get some salt and pepper?
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Kind of an unusual group of customers for a Monday afternoon.
Delicious food. Great service. Best bread! Many choices for vegetarians and fish eaters. Consistently great food.
The wait staff was amazing and the atmosphere was on point. The food was overpriced for what is was. Although the appetizers and tiramisu were amazing. I'd probably do apps next time. I don't like the idea of veal on a menu either
Simple clean dishes. Small menu, but expertly done. Not an Italian American restaurant. More of a European vibe
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. My favorite restaurant in the Berkshires hands down.
Great outdoor dinning area. Unfortunately the dishes we had was horrible. Vitello alla Siciliana, the veal was overcooked and chewy. The sauce lacked flavor and seasoning. Linguine allo scoglio, the linguine itself was good but the sauce also lacked flavor and seasoning.
Amazing service along with the menu. On the pricey side.
Great home made ravioli. My wife loves their sauce w/garlic. The salmon entree is our regular selection.
The service was slow, the prices were high, the portions were small. We were not made to feel overly welcome at all. Some of our meals were good - others, not so much.
I was greeted at the door and shown a seat right away. The waitress was charming and even spoke Italian, she was from Brazil, very sweet. My order came very quickly and I did not feel rushed. The food was very good and so was the wine and the galato. The music was soft and relaxing. The restaurant was very romantic and quiet.
This is a lovely place for a good night out. We would have liked to have been able to change the side that came with our meal but that was not allowed and there was a mixup with our wine. We have been there before and will give it another try.
Food is superb. Setting is lovely and intimate. A retreat that feeds the body and the soul. Wish I lived close enough to dine here regularly.
Beautiful ambiance, gracious and knowledgeable staff, authentic cuisine prepared with loving attention.
Out on the patio was a great place to experience this restaurant. Really good food and service
Lamb perfect. Sautéed vegetables were not hot but waitress said the vegetBles are intentionally very cool.
prices on the web were much lower than at the restaurant. bad karma. redo website.
They have a very limited bar. We ordered Dewars Scotch & Makers Mark Bourbon. They had neither. They have one scotch and two bourbons that we had not heard of. We ended up with a Bullet bourbon and a water (saved $10.00 or so).Our waiter Justin was on his 2nd day and was not very familiar with the with the bar. Trattoria Rustica has a limited menu and early in the evening (5:30) you would not expect them to be out of an item. I ordered the veal chop which they didn't have it and ended up with the Scallopine alla Sorrentina (Pork tenderloin lightly floured and sauteed in white wine and butter, topped with pancetta, mozzarella, basil and tomato). It was very good but I would have preferred the Veal Chop. My wife had the Vitello alla Siciliana (Top-round of veal lightly floured and sauteed in butter with roasted red peppers, porcini and portobella mushrooms, finished in a marsala wine sauce). Both of them were very good. For his 2nd day on the job Justin did a very nice job.
The food was great, service attentive and unhurried. I’ll go back when I’m in the area
Wonderful atmosphere and great food.
Delicious food and delightful waitress
Vegetables were cold and greens a bit chewy. Brandino was Excellent though!
Trattoria Rustica is always an outstanding evening out. The atmosphere is great, the staff professional and friendly and the food is some of the best authentic Italian around.
Food is amazing, decor soothing and warm. Service excellent.
Great service and food
Service quite slow. Food very good
Excellent food, atmosphere, service. It is a wonderful experience in fine dining.
Three of us were very happy, I wasn't expecting the kind of sauce with my ravioli that I am used to, so was a little disappointed.
Great food, great service and great atmosphere!
Lovely setting. Outstanding food. Excellent service. Superlatives don't quite do this restaurant justice. From the wine recommendation to the salad served after my dinner, European style at my request, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. I wish I lived close enough to come regularly, but.i will always dine here when I am in the area.
Lovely rsstaurqnt with delicious food and great service.
Service and quality of food was great.
Waited over an hour for food
Food and service were excellent.
Trattoria Rustica is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is special, the service excellent and the ambiance perfect.
The food was good, the wait service was a bit slow.
The atmosphere, the food and service were all outstanding
Davide is an excellent cook and gracious owner. The staff is fantastic. Love Trattoria Rustica!
Ambiance, food, and service all were excellent. I would definitely return. Great for a special occasion.
The food was delicious and the staff attentive.
The food was delicious and the staff attentive.
Service was great! Everyone was very attentive and the food was fabulous.
Service was great! Everyone was very attentive and the food was fabulous.
This is a lovely Italian restaurant that will give you a true "dining in Italy"(I imagine) experience. The food was absolutely delicious. I would not go back simply because I don't think there were enough choices in the pasta options. But it was a nice change dining there. The entire staff were very accommodating, kind and very professional! (Oh and altho my pasta WAS luscious, I didn't like the PITS in the olives... Unnecessary in my opinion!)
learned today my credit card ending in 2413 was over charged. email $ total from the bank doesn't match my lower paper receipt. I called them & left a message.
Aglio could be prepared *as all meals there) but the chef would refuse to make it with anchovies? To me it is a customers preferences and they had anchovies on the menu in many other dishes.
We love Trattoria Rustica and Davide and staff. It is the perfect place for real food with a European flair.
The service, food and atmosphere are excellent. We love it there.
Excellent food & service. Authentic Italy in Pittsfield!
Davide (the owner) and Matthew, our server, were terriic. The food was excellent which is why we drive the extra mile to go there.
too little food for the price
As usual very dark and difficult to read the menu which is in a "fancy" type. Our waitress was from Italy, and although charming and attentive, she was quite difficult to understand and make clear what she was saying. When two people in our party asked to have minor changes made to their order, i.e to bring the sauce on the side rather than on the fish, she was told that she couldn't do that because the chef has to put the sauce on as soon as the fish comes out of the oven. She did offer to bring a sample of the sauce for the woman to taste, but the fish would still have to be brought to the table with the sauce on it. Another person asked for a different vegetable with his dinner but was told there was no other...although his wife's dinner came with a different vegetable. Apparently the chef refuses to deviate from any order and it must be served exactly the way he planned it. Far from an accommodating atmosphere. Have been to this restaurant several times and it becomes less enjoyable each time.
The service was excellent, atmosphere comfy but elegant, and the food was out of this world! We started with an appetizer, two entrees and dessert with coffee!!! Wonderful experience beginning to end!
Poor service. Disappointing food.
Calamari was excellent!
A unexpectedly lovely place a block off the main drag. Charming, atmospheric, a lovely staff, excellent fresh food. A great place to linger.
atmosphere and food were very good. If I had a 50 dollar certificate i would have brought my kids.
Very friendly waitress. Food was good.
Food and wine were excellent.
Great food, terrific service and nice intimate atmosphere.
Very good quality! Authentic Italian!!
The only negative was a building's constant air conditioner noise in the courtyard where we were eating. A bit distracting but not excessive to the point of not being able to tolerate.
Delicious! From the moment the bread and oil arrived to dessert - a wonderful experience in fine dining!
It is Pittsfield's finest Italian restaurant.
Authentic, uncompromising Italian food
We love the food, the service, Davide and the atmosphere...
Like being back in Italy, such a pleasant memory, Italian music, brick-fired food, pleasant waitress.....food is expensive but prepared perfectly. A lovely experience.
We were surprised to find a local restaurant with food of this quality. We visited on a cold Berkshire Friday night, and the restaurant was not crowded. Service was nice. I had the veal scollopini Siciliano and my husband had the Vitello, a big juicy veal chop. The side dishes accompanying the meal were delicious. Unfortunately, prices are high!
I really like the atmosphere and the food is terrific. The service was also friendly and fun.
Trattoria Rustica is the premier restaurant in our area.
we thought a $6 charge for a little sauce quite expensive. female waitress much more attentive to our needs than male waiter. we needed a quick dinner to catch a play.
The ambiance of the restaurant and customer service of the wait staff shined a bit brighter than the food unfortunately. A bit overpriced to be honest.
40 minutes from time of our order to serving of the entree. (No appetizer) Very small servings. Over priced.
Trattoria Rustica has authentic Italian food, great service and terrific ambiance.
Atmosphere, service and food were all first-rate!
Decor inside was very nice. Food was ok although the goat cheese ravioli was great, my wife's ribeye was so-so as was my pasta with clams, mussels and shrimp. The meat in the clams and mussels were very small. Our waitress spoke with a very heavy italian accent and was very hard to understand. The place was very poorly lit and I had to use my cell phone light to read the menu.
The staff was welcoming and served our every need. The food was delicious and served with special flare.
Davide makes the best meals in Berkshire county and he is consistent all through the years that we have been going there.
We love the atmosphere in the dining room and outside in the garden. My husband passed away almost a year ago, we always celebrated our birthdays and anniversary at your restaurants, going there brought back many happy memories
The waitress came over to inquire how ourfood was only when we had finished eating. If she had come earlier I would have told her that my veal chop was very very tough. The beet greens were terrible and the white beans are not a vegie I can eat. SoI cut the meat in tiny bites so I could chew them and chew them. In other words that's all I had to eat. The chef would not do anything to make amends because "it was more than 1/2 eaten". Fortunately mydog loved it. When I tried to enter the price of my mean there was no drop down box. It was a bit over $60.00
Great atmosphere, wine selection, quality ingredient, authentic and creative menu, fine preparation, charming service.
I enjoyed the ambiance, the food and the service.Walking distance from Barrington Stage and a delightful summer evening set the stage for a scrumptious meal - especially the bronzino!
The atmosphere was very nice. The food was excellent. But the staff were very cold. I realize this is a somewhat upscale Italian Restaurant, but it is in Pittsfield MA - not Little Italy or Boston's North End. Quite frankly, I find the staff much more cordial, relaxed and friendly in both of those locations.
Although the food was wonderful the experience itself left much to be desired. We had a 7:30 reservation and were promptly seated but waited about 10 minutes for a waitress to appear and she immediately asked to take our food order. We ordered wine instead and when she brought it she wanted our food order again. If we wanted fast food we would have gone to Burger King. She came back 2 or 3 times only minutes apart and indicated the chef was in a hurry for our order. We did order, the food was great but they locked the doors around 8ish and started clearing the candles off the tables. Very poor way to encourage repeat business. I know the restaurant wasn't busy but to spend over $100 on a meal and be done in an hour because we slowed down the service is not the kind of evening we expected. Not sure if we will return even though the food was delicious. There are many restaurants to choose from in the area. Too bad, this was our second visit in a month and we have told others about the restaurant and now are sorry we did so. Please rethink this kind of behavior or you may not have the restaurant for long.
Service and food excellent.
Service was friendly and professional. Food was excellent.
This is a charming restaurant with great food.
When you are here it feels like Italy way more than it does Pittsfield. Outstanding service and great food.
Very good food, unfortunately selection limited to some foods I am not fond of. Service was excellent. Some foods overpriced (e. g. bowl of pasta for $9.00). Overall would definitely recommend.
Outstanding food, great service, pleasant dining room.
The food is always excellent. Davide is a fantastic cook.
looked nice
knowledgeable waitstaff. Fast service. Excellent food. Generous servings. Al Fresco Dining. Many flavors.
The atmosphere was lovely at first blush. However, the acoustics were horrid - sound reverberated off the stone and brick walls. It was impossible to hear. The food was bland to indelible.
Dark and noisy, Trattoria Rustica presented rubbery calamari on a bed of greens slathered in oil. The ravioli was mushy and bland. The Puttanesca had a strange under taste that was off putting. We were served Chardanay rather than Pinot Grigiot.
Both the food and service were excellent.Wonderful
A little pricey but food are tasty. Portion is just the right size.
We had looked forward to visiting all day. We brought my sister and her husband for a special meal and we were so disappointed in our experience. The veal dish was tough as leather and veal is so tender. The waitress brought him a substitute dish, but he was told twice he had to pick pasta (after choosing salmon) since it would take too long to cook and the rest of our group would be finished. The waitress did not offer the grated cheese that I got on my ravioli and disappeared before we could request it. The sauce on two ravioli dishes was surprisingly bland, especially without the grated cheese. The portion was very small for $18. All in all, the evening was a disappointment and I was embarrassed.
Wonderful food and service.
Food exceptional, service wonderful, a lovely special evening.
Love this restaurant!!!!
The service, food and atmosphere are excellent. A really good place to go for a real treat.
Food good, but did not come from the kitchen at same time-at least 5 minute lag. Complained, but owner/chef said it came from two different sources, and took longer for one dish. Not a good excuse!
You would sure believe you were in The old country; pleasing in every way! Great food, ambiance, great smells the moment u walk in door!
Food was good as was atmosphere. Service was great. A little pricy especially $13 for a glass of wine. Veal was tender.
Salmon taste good but was very dry. Rib eye steak was cooked as ordered (medium rare) but the meat was very tough for a rib eye steak.
Salmon taste good but was very dry. Rib eye steak was cooked as ordered (medium rare) but the meat was very tough for a rib eye steak.
Nathan our server was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. The food was wonderful and tasefully prepared.
This restaurant is overpriced. If your specials are going to be as expensive as they are, I would suggest the waiter tell the person ordering. Two appetizers, two entrees and the least expensive 1/2 botle of wine should not have been 128.00. It was too dark. I had to use my flashlight to read the menu (I like dim and romantic but this was too dark). The cauliflower soup was bland and VERY overpriced and the polenta was cool/cold and totally lacked salt/spice. Was almosttasteless. The lamb and pork chop (overpriced) were superb.
Delicious delightful my fiancée had the brick oven salmon and it was the best she has ever had. I had the eggplant/ fresh mozzarella brick oven dish and enjoyed it thoroughly . Everything was wonderfully prepared and presented in a very romantic atmosphere the portions were ample and worth the wait of individually prepared dishes
Prices are a bit high on pasta dishes and wine by the glass.
Food was very fresh, worth the pice. Mixed vegetables could have been a better selection. I was given squash when I was told it was going to be mixed vegetables. Servers were friendly but it was a busy night and seemed understaffed. When we were finished with meal we waited an additional 20-30 mins before receiving a check. However, the delicious food was worth it. Excellent seafood and pasta.
Excellent food and decor.
Food was fair at best. Overpriced, extremely limited menu, and extravagant wine list. ($13 per glass) least expensive.
Very difficult to understand the waiter's accent. Also service was ver y slow.
Would like more than one cherry/grape tomato on a salad when they're in season.Sauce on ravioli a bit strong...not sure what it was though.
We were seated in a corner in the rear of the restaurant. Service was slow. Portions were very small in comparison to the prices. The ravioli which I ordered were undercooked as the edges were hard. More garlic than was necessary in the food.
Very attractive cozy place. Food was fine and the service excellent.
Cozy, authentic looking Italian restaurant.
Cozy, authentic looking Italian restaurant.
The service was pleasant and informative . The food was overpriced and ranged from OK to decent.
Great atmosphere (brick, rustic, feels like Italy). Great service (we had to get to a show & server reminded us of time so we could get out on time). Good food. Can eat in outdoor patio.
outstanding food and fantastic service
Fantastic waiter
Very disappointed. Thos was our 3rd time back. The food was poorly prepared. The "spring chicken" special was under cooked. . The tuna special was served with the statement "the chef said you should let it sit awhile". In addition it was not at all good. The waitress forgot to serve my appetizer. We will not be returning.
Food not as good as last visit. Salmon overcooked and was dry. Linguine in clam sauce was very good. Veal dish was good. Waiter was very pleasant but overall service was only fair. I requested parmigian cheese with pasta and it did not arrive until I left my seat to find a waiter to get it. Water was never refilled and I only had my glass refilled once, upon my requeswt at the end of the meal. I am not planning on going back. At these prices I expect better.
The kitchen was so slow we had to forego coffee and dessert. We arrived at 6pm and had to leave when it was7:45 in order to get to the theatre. The waiter was wonderful, but the kitchen was not up to par
Exceent service and meal
One dish (salmon), we had ordered and loved at an earlier visit, was overcooked, dried out and the sauce was reduced to , about nothing. Could not get water refilled until after I was finished eating. When I ordered my pasta I requested grated cheese with it. I had to leave my seat and locate someone who could fulfill my request.
Limited menu items. Limited types of wine by the glass.
knowledgeable and very personable waiter, atmosphere lovely and food supurb
The good was good, but for the price of the food, the portions were very very small.
WAIT STAFF VERY ATTENTAIVE TO THE CHILDREN
Great pork chops.professional service.worth a detouf.
The whole chicken provided an entree was very small.
PLESANT STAFF, NICE SETTING DINING AL FRESCO, FOOD WAS PREPARED AND PRESENTED WELL
very nice waitstaff, cozy restaurant, food was well prepared, nice wine list that wasn't prohibitive
Great waiter, excellent chef, good wine selection, wonderful North Italian food.
One of the best meals we have ever had in The Berkshires. The service could not have been any better. Our waiter, Aaron and the staff were excellent. Chairs could use a cushion.
Food was delicious and the wait staff helpful and pleasant
The food was made to order and was great.
Tried an interesting new dish for the first time, it was excellent.
I've eaten here several times before and the food has been outstanding. However, this time, the sauce on the salmon entree was poor and the side of butternut squash undercooked, and the ravioli entree, while very flavorful was extremely undercooked. Disappointing.
Great Chef owned, Tuscan Food
Top shelf
Staying at the bently brook at jiminy peak resort. Beautiful Italian atmosphere. Great evening specials! Very clean, great homemade bread!!! Not large portions but really, really good. Reasonably priced for the quality. However, $32 for the ribeye special was costly for the portion. All desserts were $10 which I have not seen at any fine dining Restuarant (including a cannoli). We are Italian so I know how much it costs to make one cannoli.
The food is always cooked to order, it's fresh and fabulous quality.
service was very good but disappointed in the food itself. maybe we were expecting a little more for the price. The server said it's Southern Italy food so I guess it's different. No sauces on homemade pasta's and taste was bland.
Quiet, intimate atmosphere with excellent food & service
would love to have more pasta appetizers offered; ravioli, manicotti, ect. small plates of pasta.
We were overcharged. $16 for a glass of house red! Dessert was still frozen, and our waitress was non exsistant. I had to get up and find her twice just to pay. Dinner for 2 with very small portions was $200!! Absurd!
THE BEST BEST PIECE OF SWORDFISH THAT I HAVE EVER HAD IN A RESTAURANT. MY WIFE HAD THE VEAL CHOP, IT WAS GREAT. THIS IS A SPECIAL RESTAURANT FOR SURE. YOU CAN TALK TO THE CHEF/OWNER AND WATCH HIM CREATE
HAVING A BARRIER TO THE FRONT DOOR SO THAT YOU DON'T FREEZE EACH TIME THE DOOR IS OPENED
The food is always fresh and delicious.
The veal was extremely tough, inedible AND expensive. When brought to the attention of management, we were told they could not comp the meal and did not offer a substitute meal. Her exact quote was "we don't pound our meat." In fairness, the pork chop was tender and tasty but the broccoli rabe was too tough to chew.
We paid $14 for a glass of wine, and feltit excessive, and perhaps charged to absorbthe $25 discount.
The quality of the food was excellent. The setting was so inviting ;like dining in an ancient Italian house/garden. Gourmet touches and the care with which the food was prepared was obvious. Butternut squash!!!
The service was slow throughout the evening.
Homemade ravioli was undercooked; doughy around the edges. The temperamental chef refused to cook the dish any further. My two companions had to order a completely different dish. What we expected to be a wonderful, relaxing meal turned into quite a sressful experience.
Great eating and atmosphere.
Waiter was told my wife had severe nut allergies. Her sorbet was served in a coconut shell on a bed of almond cream. Luckily a friend noticed an a tragedy was averted.
Food was good, but the menu is limited, so we don't go there often. Atmosphere is very nice, but waitstaff affect an Italian accent/attitude that is very phony.
great service excellent food
Food and ambiance great. Service was disgraceful.
The prices didn't match quality (prices should be reduced). Add a children's menu or smaller portions with adjusted prices for children. Lighting was quite low.
The gemelli pasta was undercooked and gummy. It lacked flavor. The ravioli entree was a little more flavorful but the portion size was that of an appetizer. Everything was a la carte and priced on the high side. A very disappointing dinner.
Our server was incredible!! He really MADE our dining experience 5 star!! I will go again.
Good service, nice atmosphere, decent but overpriced food.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in the Berkshires. It was overpriced and we received our food less than five minutes after we ordered and it had been microwaved. Our meals were so bland that we had to request garlic and our we had a rude server. I have to say that I will never return and was very upset with this experience.
Nice restaurant, but a bit overpriced
Delicious!
The best restaurant in Pittsfield, MA. Perfect for a special occasion.
Would not order rack of lamb again because only 2 chops
good food and atmosphere, coupled with good service
thank you
THE FOOD AND SERVICE ARE ONE OF THE BEST IN THE AREA
wonderful atmosphere,great food and wine
My daughter had raved about the restaurant and food. So we decided to try it and the food and service was excellent. Will definitely go again!
We enjoyed our celebration dinner...my son's 4 th anniversary. My 20 month old grand daughter enjoyed everything we shared with her!! The food here is consistently very good .
incredibly good food every time
wonderful service, great owner/chef/great ambience
Lovely Italian restaurant in Pittsfield, MA - Italian chef directly from Italy. Good experience.
It's a bit pricy.
It's always the best!
The overall cost of the dinner was higher than expected. Food quality good but not as good as expected for those prices. The service, however, was very helpful & knowledgable.
Wanna go to Italy for a night? It's right here in Pittsfield, MA. Highest of quality food & service!!! And the atmoshere? If u like candlelight, this is where it's at!
We will be back!
seen walking by
Food and service is always excellent. The mood is very romantic. One of our favorite places to dine.
The server made this restaurant experience so good. The food was average, at best. Presentation and atmosphere was very nice, cozy, and warm on a very cold night. We learned that they were understaffed that night, but the host (who also played waiter and busboy) was wonderful. He was hustling around and seemed to somehow make everyone in the restaurant happy.
it's always good!
ONE OF THE BETTER RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA
The restaurant was absolutely charming..so European in its decor...the service was impeccable and probably one of the best meals I've had in a long time. A wonderful choice. I look forward to dining there again,
High price didn't match quality or technique.
PRICEY
Portions were miniscule and expensive. Would not return for that reason. Taste was delicious, atmosphere lovely, service wonderful.
Service was excellent. Food was excellent. We loved it!
Thank you
