Reviews
The food was exceptional and the portions were generous. We had the kafta and saag paneer....to die for! The staff was very professional and friendly. Highly recommended!
Our waiter was unusually good. The food was absolutely fantastic.
We love the food and LOVE the staff. We were here 5 months ago and we realized it was way too long in between visits! The host suggested a new vegetarian dish we had never tried and it was INCREDIBLE!
I had such a wonderful first time at Royal India. The service was on point and the food was delightful.
The incredible aroma from the time we walked in captivated us. The soft music and decor was amazing. The service and food was excellent. We will definitely be back. AAA+++
Service was a little slow, but the food tasted great. A bit pricey.
Samosas seem to have gotten smaller, now mostly wrap and very little filling.
Gorgeous restaurant, good prices, incredible service and incredibly fast—I have never waited so little to receive food at a restaurant. The food was amazing!!
We thought overall was only fair, okay. The food was delicious enough but for the price they charging, there are too many competitions out there and will not bringing us back here. The food came out so quickly (too quick) that made us think probably the food is not fresh, warmed up from before. Not impressed with Naan bread and plastic plate they used for a starter dish. If they consider as a high class restaurant, at least I expect slightly higher standard to match the price tag that comes with. Service was good.
We were at this restaurant on the Christmas Day. It was full but it wasn’t like people were waiting to be seated. It took about 20-25 min to take the order and about another hour for the food to be served. The quality of the food was ok. But the biryani wasn’t even close to a authentic biryani.
The service was kind of slow evn though they weren't busy. They should come over and ask if we want drinks at very least without making us wait. Food was tasty but the naan servings were smaller than other restaurants. All in all, it just wasn't worth what we paid.
Food was great! Brought out quickly. But service was less than satisfactory. Waitress forgot to bring our menus after seating us and our waiter came over and rushed us to get the orders in when we had just received the menus. They both said sorry for their mistakes, but for a $60+ meal, I expected good food and good service.
Fast, friendly service. Delicious food, great presentation and it came out quickly.
Very courteous and attentive staff
We've been to Royal India a number of times. The restaurant has never failed to impress. From the quality and flavor of the food to the friendliness of the staff, the whole place is first rate. I would recommend it to anyone, whether they are eating Indian food for the first time, or an experienced campaigner.
Great location, excellent food, wonderful service!
Food and presentation were very nice. Excellent service.
We loved it! We love Indian food and this exceeded our expectations. We will definitely go there again and again.
Ordered gin martini, got the mango martini without the mango (lime juice and gin). Yuk. Fish was dry and chewy.
Food is delicious and people that works there, even they are not your server, help you with any questions with a smile, they are very nice and like what they do.
I love coming to this place. Maybe it's because I don't get to eat Indian food that often, but when I do, I always try to come here. The place is decorated so nicely and has such a chill vibe. I came with my boyfriend to catch a break from comic con and the whole gaslamp area in general, and we were so afraid of breaking stuff with our huge bulky bags and our tacky nerd gear. But they welcomed us and never made us feel like we didn't belong there :) The owner is such a gentle, professional dude and they make great food. Veggie samosas and garlic naan are a must! I enjoy their saag dishes, but the chicken tikka masala and ginger chili curry are real good... I'm aiming to try their korma next time :)
Incredible flavors and textures in their food! Saag chicken and lentil soup were excellent!
The lamb was over cooked and the $35 cost for a half rack lost my business.
Food was delish! Linda personable and we didn't go away hungry!
Great service and food was terrific
Fairly expensive so without promotion, we will likely not dine there again.
Service was fair. No special attention was given to our table. The waiter performed his duties routinely. Once everyone arrived, we were seated quickly at a place where the view was great.
Much better variety than your typical pizzeria. The food was excellent.
Great service and food.
Food is incredible. Service is outstanding!!!!!
The restaurant does children's birthday parties (this is the second time we have come and there was a party). A disco ball and flashing lights are turned on and the children sing karaoke. The noise level is really loud and the lights make it feel like a Chuck-E-Cheese instead of a nice restaurant (where I spent $150 on a meal). I will not visit this restaurant again. I will go to the other Japanese Steakhouse (Sakura) in my area.
the staff is pleasant, the restaurant is always spotless and the waitress is the best!
I have always liked this place and tonight was especially good!
Fantastic food!
The food was delicious. The wait staff was efficient.
Kitchen was slow but server was so kind and food was very good
The food quality was very disappointing. The food was dry & not at all spicy as requested.
Service excellent. Food exquisite.
The prices are very expensive for an average dining experience.
it's bit far place for me but my visit was on occassion. - dinner time. service and climate was appropriate and comfortable. could not feel openness in restaurant. may be coz of dontown. Food quality was good, much fresh however taste was typical and was not bringing out aroma and taste enough. not sure if visit again.
The waiter was a little soft-spoken, but the service and food were excellent!
Great service, great food and great ambiance. What else could anyone want?
Excellent dining experience.
A little expensive for us without the gift certificate, may plan on going for lunch though. It was delicious!
Amazing food!
My fave India Restaurant!!
mediocre food, and expensive. Not worth the extra $$$. Will not visit this facility again.
We dined with a friend of Indian discent, who thought the food was excellent. We agreed!
Too pricey for the quality of food. Has a good ambiance, but the taste of both our entrees was almost same and one of the entrees(Veg Jalfraze) was cooked totally different than what it should typically look and taste.
Server initally confused as to whether alcohol was included in minimum purchase amount ... saying yes ... then no.
Exceptional food and service.
We first went to The Royal India two years ago because we love Indian Food and a friend recommended it. We love it there, but it can get a little pricey for us. Finding the Restaurant.com coupon allows us to go more often than we might otherwise and to take friends/relatives there. We will probably come more often now we know about Restaurant.com. :-)
Probably would not have tried it without coupon but will definitely return!
The food and service was great. I was a bit surprised that there was a $3 fee to split an $8 dessert. I can see a fee for a meal split, but dessert??
it was too expensive
Horrible!! Never again!!
It was very expensive for quantity of food and venue. Flavors and service were good however. Just not worth the high prices for this kind of food.
Good place. Very nice employees.
Food and service were great but once we finished our meal, we waited quite a long time for our bill.
