Staff is always friendly. Items on the bar menu are also available in the dining room. Kitchen is willing to make substitutions upon request
Osteria Da Nino is in our regular restaurant rotation because they feature some of our favorite dishes.

Service was excellent, very personal. Met 4 other diners who were effusive in their praise of this restaurant: service and food. Quiet dining on a Sunday afternoon.

Food was delicious and the portion size was very generous. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere.
Happy Hour at the bar is a fun intro to a meal; sometimes we continue dinner there (good food selections) though this time we moved to dine at a table. Nino is delightful and happy to advise on wine selection, which features many nice Italian wines plus others.
Nino even offered to make a special risotto for us!
The risotto special - with shrimp and mascarpone was especially luscious!
I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious dining room. It was elegant, and the noise level was low so conversation was easy. The staff was welcoming, the food was delicious.
There was hardly anybody there. I guess this was a clue. The owner/manager was very friendly and charming and the wine list was excellent. Many choices were available by the glass. The place looked a bit cheesy and outdated but the menu seemed good. Our waiter was stiff and strange but friendly enough. He took the cork to our wine bottle, for some reason. However, after he took out order we hardly ever saw him again. The owner brought our food. The app. was good but not very warm. The herb bread was actually cold. Never had cold bread before. It was good, though, as was the pesto dipping sauce. My meal. The pasta was hard and rubbery but the rest of it was okay. Not too warm, though. My wife's risotto was good. No one asked if we wanted dessert. We had to flag down someone else's waitress for espresso. The waiter was dressed for a five-star restaurant. The waitresses were dressed for Panera. All in all, not horrible food but a horrible experience. If the meal had cost half as much it would have been a fair deal, but we were paying for fine dining and getting fast food. Only it was slow. Our window view was of the shell station.
Excellent food. Good pasta dishes (Bucatini Carbonara/Pancetta was delish) reasonably priced. Last night, wife and I ate ossa buco (not always on menu) which was delicious. This was our 2nd time here - pre Signature Theater dinner. A terrific "find" in this area with many alternatives. While we live in MD, we would come here on non-theater nights.
